FORCE OR FARCE?

Maureen Callahan's NY Post Op Ed
piece, Sunday, July 25  "Who can
capture the Tea Party vote?" provides
more evidence that points to the Tea
Party Movement in New York being
impotent because of a lack of leadership.

Despite all the rehetoric of those who
present themselves as the coordinators
facilitators, organizers and voices of
the Tea Party Movement,  the
Movement lacks the ability to translate
rhetoric into effective political action.

Reason? Those who profess to speak
for the Tea Party Movement lack the
leadership ability and wisdom of the
Founders of this Nation.

There would have been no Revolution
no Constitution and our present
Constitutional Republic without the
leadership of the Founders including
Washington, Jefferson, Adams, Madison
Patrick Henry and participation of a long
list of others right down to the ordinary
Patriots and footsoldiers of Washingtons'
army who walked the walk and fought
the fight.

Talk is cheap. Action gets the job done.

On July 12, this blog raised the
question: "Whither The Tea Party?
Political force or incapable of even
delivering a pizza?

Thus, far the Tea Party Movement
in New York has lacked the leadership
focus and ability to deliver in the
electoral process- in particular
qualifying candidates for the ballot
who put the survival of  America
and all Americans first and foremost.

The Independent Taxpayer Party of
Carl Paladino is the test of the effectiveness
or the ineffectiveness of the Tea Party
Movement in New York.

To be effective, the Tea Party
Movement must have it's own ballot
line and qualify like- minded candidates
for the November 2 ballot.

21 Days remain to get the necessary
valid signatures of registered New
York voters,  to qualify Tea Party
Movement candidates for the ballot. 

In the Capitol District this means
3,500 signatures for Representative
in Congress, 21st Congressional
District; 3,000 for a State Senate
District and 1,500 for a State
Assembly District.

Time for those Americans who
identify with the concept of the
Tea Party Movement and the
Second American Revolution
to reclaim our government
from the tyranny of those
incumbents who support the
Obama agenda of radically
transforming America, to rise
to positions of leadership and
to participate in the petitioning
process.

Time to deliver or just shut up!

there have to be viable alternatives who
offer us real choices

state offices. Can you identify challengers
in each contest, who articulate your views?

If so, great! If not, there is about a month's
time remaining to qualify Independent
candidates for the November 2 ballot.

WHY A TEA PARTY MOVEMENT?

It is a citizen movement larger than anyone
person. The following article and comments
provide insights explaining the Tea Party

Loyalty to America transcends loyalty to
any political party.

Political parties exist to gain control of
government. They go by different names
at different times, in different places, but
there is very little difference between them.

There are really only two parties: those in
power and those who seek to be in power.

Reduced to their essence, political parties
today, are largely ballot lines.

The Democratic and Republican parties
have strayed far from their origins. Of
the minor parties, the Working Families
Party is the extreme union, left of the
Democratic party.

The Independence and Conservative
parties have the potential to make a
major difference this critical election
year in New York - if they run candidates
who are truly independent and conservative
who understand the challenges we face
and who present the right message to
deal with those challenges.


2010 is the most critical election facing
American voters since the Revolution
and founding of our Constitutional
Republic.

The survival of America and New York
State, as well as all Americans and all
New Yorkers, are on the line in 2010.

The mainstream media are no more
than cheerleaders for the Democratic
administrations that control all
branches of the federal and New York
State governments.

An informed citizenry, fully participating
in 2010 party primaries and the November
2 General Election is our only hope to
combat the tyranny of those who have
highjacked the Democratic Party , America
and New York State.

The first order of business is to qualify
candidates for the ballot that meet the
aforementioned criteria.

This is done by signing designating petitions
starting June 8, and continuing during
the remainder of June, so that these
candidates obtain the required number
of valid signatures to be on the ballot.

A voter's signature on a designating petition
amounts to a vote that the candidates signed
for have a message that the voters agree with.

Incumbents can be sent a clear message by
voters NOT signing the designating petitions
of those incumbents, who have failed to
represent the needs and views of their
constituents.

STRAWS IN THE 2010

POLITICAL WINDS



Locally, we have school budget votes. Are
property owners, in particular senior
citizens, who are getting no social security
cola's for two years, going to vote for or
against school school budgets that increase
spending and property taxes? Will they
turn out to vote at all?



On the national political scene, there are
a number of House and Senate party
primaries that may provide some indication
of what voters may do in the November 2
General Elections.

Of most note is that the Tea Party Movement
is only identified as a factor in one contest -
the GOP primary for U S Senate in Kentucky.
And it that contest, the involvement constitutes
"endorsement". Anything else?



The Tea Party Movement does not appear to
be a factor in the Democratic primaries in
Pennsylvania and Arkansas.

One might argue that the Tea Party Movement
will have most impact in the November 2
General Elections. Maybe. Maybe not.



Here in New York, particularly in the Capital
District, one must note that the Tea Party
Movement has, yet, to embrace announced
candidates, or field candidates of their own
for most State Senate, Assembly and
Congressional seats in the November 2
General Election



Debbie Busch GOP candidate for NYS Assembly
104 District and Chris Gibson GOP candidate
for Congress 20th District have support of Tea
Party groups.



However, if the Tea Party Movement is to be
a successful force in the November 2 General
Elections, the Tea Party Movement has to
get behind announced candidates for state
legislature, particularly the State Senate
where control of that body and maintaining
a balance of power are key issues; and
congressional races in every district, where
repealing Obamacare, and opposing the
Obama-Pelosi agenda of fundamentally
(radically) transforming America are at stake.



The First day to circulate, sign and witness
party designating petitions, June 8, is fast
approaching.



The Tea Party Movement has to get on the
November 2 General Election train, now, or
be left behind on the train station platform.



Time for speeches, meet ups, rallys, protests
are over. The name of the game, now, is
action to support candidates to qualify for
the November 2 General Election ballot. In
a word petitioning. This requires organized
effort to get the requisite number of valid
signatures of enrolled party members on
particular party designating petitions during
the month of June. No small endeavor.

The crowd exceeded the turnout for
the Tea Party Express in Albany Tuesday.

TEA PARTIES: PRELUDE
TO CHANGE- A COURSE
CORRECTION FOR AMERICA


CONGRATULATIONS TO AL RONEY
WGY, WADE ABBOTT , ORGANIZERS
and CITIZEN ATTENDEES OF THE
ALBANY TEA PARTY

A great success! Many thousands more
listened in via radio.

Today's Times Union Editorial derided
the event as "pulling the Republican
Party out of its slump, under the guise
of patriotism and hyperbolic talk of
socialism and tyranny."

The editorial went on to say: " This
manufactured movement has been
provided a sense of legitimacy
and momentum by Fox News and
other media organs of the right
hyped by infotainers like Glenn Beck
and Laura Ingraham.."

The editorial concludes: "A protest
like this, coming barely three months
into the administration of a new president
who won decisively last year and is
doing exactly what he promised to do
should be seen for what it is - a last
gasp of Campaign 2008 or, like, it or not
one of many preludes to Election 2012."

The Times Union could not be more wrong.

1. The Albany Tea Party was not a partisan
event to shore up the Republican Party.

It was a gathering of American citizens
exercising their First Amendment Rights
of freely gathering and speaking their
concerns about the tyranny of excessive
government spending and taxation, and
the tyranny of disregard for the Constitution
and Bill of Rights by elected representatives
at all levels of government in America.


2. It is amusing to read the TU editorial
decry Fox News, Glenn Beck and Laura
Ingraham as media organs of the right.

The TU, and most of the other media
except for talk radio, were, and remain
shills for the Far Left.

If it were not for Fox News and talk radio
American citizens would be completely
brainwashed by the mainstream media.

The new administration intends to enact
the "Fairness Doctrine" as a means of
stifling the First Amendment Rights of
radio stations, talk radio hosts and
ordinary citizens.

3. It is equally amusing to read the TU
decrying "a protest like this..as the last
gasp of Campaign 2008..."

Obviously, the TU has failed to notice
that President Obama is still on the
campaign trail. He is everywhere in
the mainstream media, nearly every
day. Recently, he campaigned in
Europe, Turkey and Iraq. Next, it
will be in Latin America at the coming
Western Hemisphere Summit.

Not to worry, President Obama will
keep his campaign pledge to visit all
57 of these United States.

4. The Times Union is wrong to state
that Obama "won decisively last year.."

Voter turnout was about 60 percent
Obama won with the votes of about
a third of the eligible voters. This means
that 70 percent of the American voters
DID NOT vote for Obama.

Furthermore, President Obama is NOT
doing exactly as he promised with
regard to Iraq. The troops are not
coming home. They are being redeployed
to Afghanistan and probably soon to
Africa.

Where have all those "bring home the
troops-NOW" lawn signs gone?

President Obama has come to realize
that, for better or worse, the U S must
maintain ground, air and naval forces
in the volatile Middle East, and elsewhere
in the world, for a long time to come.

Given that reality, one wonders how
President Obama can keep America
safe, by cutting the defense budget
failing to secure our borders and
failing to require proof of U S citizenship
for jobs, medical care, social services and
educational benefits.

American citizens are concerned that the change
Mr Obama promised, and the changes he has
made in less than 3 months in office, are
taking America down the wrong road to
socioeconomic and political disaster.

That is why the Tea Parties are being held
nationwide.

American citizens are rightly concerned for
their futures , as well as the futures of their
loved ones, and the future of America.

These Tea Party supporters want government
spending and taxation brought under control.
They want the Constitition, particularly the
First, Second and Tenth Amendments ; and
The Bill of Rights upheld by government at
all levels.

Finally, the Times Union is almost correct
in stating that this, and other Tea Parties
are "preludes to Election 2012".

More accurately, these Tea Parties are
preludes to American Citizens taking back
their governments at all levels, beginning
with the local elections this year; and
moving on to the state and congressional
elections of 2010.

Smart voters realize that regaining local
control, this year, is a prerequisite to
regaining control of New York State
government and Congress in 2010.

The reality is that we have one party
control at the local, state and federal
levels. Worse yet, that is Leftist
One Party Control.

The Republican and minor political
parties are toast in New York.

The best way for citizens to regain
control of local government this year
is for independent Democrats to run for
office
or, at the very least, become informed
and vote in the September Democratic
Primaries.

As for 2010, state and congressional
races, the best tactic is for all voters
in New York , particularly Upstate and
on Long Island to enrol as Democrats
now, and participate in the 2010
Democratic Primaries for State Assembly
and Senate, Congress and the U. S Senate.

Enrolment changes made now, become
effective, in New York, the day after the
November 2009 General Election.

The Governor, Attorney General, Comptroller
and all Members of the state Assembly/Senate
plus, Members of Congress and both Senators
from New York are up for nomination (election)
in the 2010 Democratic Primaries.

If there were ever opportunities for CHANGE
2009 and 2010 offer American Citizens the
opportunities to put local, state and federal
governments on the RIGHT COURSE.

IT IS NOW OR NEVER!
