GANGBANGERS AND OCCUPIERS

Both are products of  the "progressive"
mindset that permeates our politics, schools
and the media.

The failed "Great Society" social programs
of the last 50 years have produced an urban
subculture which is poor economically as
well as poor in spirit.

Social services programs have promoted
and rewarded the dysfunction evident in
this subculture: including disintegration
of the nuclear family, out of wedlock births
growth of  violent gangs, lack of respect
for, and value, of education, victimhood
anger, hostility, unwillingness to take
personal responsibilty for their own
anti-social behaviors and remaining
slaves to the "progressive" political
educational  systems and to government
social services programs that keep this
urban subculture in bondage.

Albany is a case example. The minority
is fast becoming the majority. Look at city
schools. A 50 percent drop out rate dooms
far too many to lives of poverty, crime and
substance abuse.

White flight to the suburbs is a response
to condition in city schools, street crime
burglaries, home invasions and the growth
if violent gangs.

White flight has adversely impacted the
city property tax base, which in turn
has a negative impact on city schools, city
services and city government.

When the dependent minority becomes
the majority. when white elderly homowners
are no longer here who will pay for the city
schools, city services and social services
programs which the urban subculture relies
upon for survival?

The solution?  Members of this urban
subculture have to take personal responsibility
for their own condition, behaviors.  Attitude
changes are needed.Respect and value
education, realizing that it is through becoming
educated that they will be free, prosper and have
better lives.

Society must demand that  politicians overhaul
social services programs to promote and reward
those  recipients who, who want  and strive for
better lives, and not promoting and rewarding
destructive anti-social behaviors that diminish
the lives of themselves, their children, their neighbors
and society as a whole.

Some changes in social services programs?
*Residency requirements.
*Promote nuclear families.
*Limit to one out of wedlock birth to a female 18
or older. No benefits for teen out of wedlock births.
In such cases, the parent recipient must share her
social services with her teen and grandchild.
* End social services foster grandparent scam.
* End "crazy money" SSI payments.
* Revert food stamp program to a commodity
   based program. Recipients receive monthly
box of staples, including oats, peanut butter
powdered milk, dried beans, flour, butter- as
was done in the 1960's. Recipients learn to
cook and eat better. Avoid obesity and related
health problems. Farmers and farmland kept
in operation for now and the future.

Less opportunity for food stamp fraud and
abuse than the current card system.

* The Albany County Legislature should present
a comprehensive report on social services and
related spending. Who gets what? How many
illegal aliens are receiving benefits? How many
recipients are collecting duplicate benefits in
    other counties and neighboring states?

Include zip code maps of  recipient and benefit
    distributions

We need real welfare reform at the state and
     local levels in 2012.

     The proposed comprehensive report should
provide the basis for these reforms.
