DEMOCRATS CAN SAVE
AMERICA, THEMSELVES

AND THE REST OF US.
CONSERVATIVES STAND
YOUR GROUND.

The 2012 elections are defining
elections- referenda on the survival
of America, as well as our own
survival.

President Obama is leading the
nation over a cliff to disaster.

Only the most blind partyline
lemmings will follow him.

It has been said that Albany
Democrats are conservative.

We shall see.

In the 2012 elections will Albany
Democrats put the survival of
America, and their own survival
before blind partyline allegiance?

Will Albany Democratic Party
candidates do the same?

What to do?

Dump Obama and present
a more traditional, conservative
Democrat for President before
it is too late!

Albany County Conservatives
should not cross endorse any
candidate, in the local 2012
elections for State Senate and
Assembly, who supports the
re-election of President Obama.

Nor, should any enrolled
Conservative  sign petitions
in June, designating any such
candidates as Conservative
Party candidates.

Nor, should any enrolled
Conservative voters vote
for such candidates in the
September 11 Primary and
November 6 General Election.

Put the survival of America
your own survival, and that
of your loved ones, First!

12 TRILLION DOLLARS?
THE NOT SO GREAT SOCIETY.

Today's Bill O'Reilly Talking Point
on poverty, aired in Talk 1300 radio
declared that 12 trillion dollars have
been expended, since the days of
Lyndon Johnson, to eliminate poverty.

What has this expendture of 12 trillion
dollars yielded?

More poverty and millions more poor
people, never ending urban decay
more crime, more dispair and a nation
deeply divided.

Add to this 12 trillion dollars, the
hundreds of millions of school property
taxes expended in failing urban schools
like Albany, where graduation rates
are barely 5o percent.

This year, the Governor and State
Legislature promoted teacher
evaluations as the way to improve
education in New York.

The best teachers in the world
can not make stones learn.

The next step for the Governor
and State Legislature should be
to add parent and "student"
evaluations to teacher evaluations.

Make all of the above public
so that school property taxpayers
can clearly see where the flaws
in our public school systems are.

Disband the federal and state
education departments and return
education to local control.

Until parents and children value
learning, make the effort to learn
and apply what they learn - expect
only more poverty, poor people
crime, more urban decay and
eventual city bankruptcies.

FLEET WEEK IN
NYC  MAY 2012

Fleet week will be held in NYC
in May:

Among the Men O War in port
will be the U S S Sullivans DDG 68

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_The_Sullivans_(DDG-68)

The original U S S Sullivans  DD537
is moored in Buffalo Marine Park,
like the U S S Slater in Albany:

Our ship operated at sea with DD537
in the 1950's.

DDG 68 made port in Adrigole, Beara
Peninsula, ancestral home of the five
Sullivan brothers.
Thought of trying to get DDG 68 to
visit Albany. But, the ship's draft
exceeds the channel depth at the
Port of Albany.

Besides it is a long sea detail up
the Hudson and DDG would be
an sitting duck target for local
Al Qaida operatives.

Maybe, DDG 68 will send a
landing party upriver in a
whaleboat?

HE WAS LOOKING
FORWARD
TO THIS SUMMER

S/Sgt William Wilson III.

Read his mother's statement:

Send your condolences to the family:

Thanks to Talk 1300 radio host
Melody Burns for calling our
attention to the tragic death of
S/Sgt Wilson while serving our
country, and all of us, a world
away in Afghanistan.

Every Saturday, on her show
1300 AM  1-4 pm, Melody
pauses to read the names of
our troops who lost their
lives that week in Afghanistan.

Thank you, Melody.

Remember them.

HYDRO-POWER FOR
THE CAPITAL DISTRICT

Hearings are being held on the
330 mile electric transmission
cable that will carry Quebec
hydropower to New York City.

http://online.wsj.com/article/AP46929e6269d74d15afaa3fa2b13a3e30.html

No hearings are slated for the
City of Albany- The State
Capital. Why not?

Why is the Albany Common
Council:

a) not calling on the PSC to
    schedule a hearing in Albany?

b) not passing a Resolution
calling for  the City of Albany
to tap into that power cable
    thereby providing low cost
    hydropower for the city
    and city residents, to spur
    economic development
    rebuild city neighborhoods
    and support construction
of trolley lines and a light
rail system, as well as for
    home heating?

    Oil prices are rising above
    affordability, and soon oil
may not be available at any
    price.

    Albany needs low cost  hydro
    powerfrom the Quebec-NYC
    transmission cable.
    from this Quebec

Why is the Albany County
Legislature not taking
similar action to benefit
residents of Watervliet
Cohoes, Guilderland
Bethlehem, New Scotland
The Hill Towns and the
rest of the towns in the
county?

Get with the program boys
and girls.

THREE CHEERS
FOR THOSE WHO
SAVED ST. STANS

http://www.timesunion.com/local/article/Polish-church-s-survival-an-underdog-tale-3450216.php

Americans of Polish descent in
Adams MA saved their church.

Why did those of Irish , German
and other ethnic backgrounds
not do the same in Albany
Troy, Watervliet, Cohoes and
Schenectady?

Closing churches invites
neighborhood decline and
is  a wrong move because
rising oil prices, and
the eventually unavailability
of oil ,at any price, will put
an end to commuting , forcing
people to return to the cities.

City governments and the
RC Diocese should be preparing
for that day.
