Many Crowleys came to Beara and became part of our O'Sullivan Bere clan.
My dear Cousin Michael Crowley, an Octogenarian farmer of Urhan Townland, Eyeries (the Northern Parish of Beara) share the same Great Grandmother, Johanna O'Sullivan Shearhig of Coulagh Ard (The High Field) on the neighboring Mish Kish Mountain.
Fond thoughts of relation, Fall River policeman, Sgt John Harrington and the Dennehey's of High St, Fall River. Steve was a dough boy in the Great War. His wife Peg O'Sullivan, Allihies. Their daughter, my Cousin ,Cathy Dennehey Murphy, lives at Church Gate, Castletownbere enjoying the company of many relations and friends, a dance and pint or two, in the local pubs.
