MORE SIGNS OF THE TIMES

In Ward 14 more Joe Igoe lawn signs have
gone up, and some have come down as well.

About 64 Igoe signs are out, amounting to
about 120 possible votes, if all the members
of households, where the signs appear, vote.

An analysis of whose lawns sporting Igoe signs
results in these conclusions (1) most appear
on the lawns of the politically connected,
including a politician who has been marked
for unseating, next year, several party
committee members, current or former city
county or state employees, people who have
received or seek favors, plus some Igoe
relations and and friends;
(2) the majority of ward streets have no Igoe
signs: (3) those that do, rarely have more than
one or two, while half a dozen streets have
3 or 4 signs; (5) about 10 percent of those
households include persons who signed
my designating petition to qualify for the ballot.

No big deal! Igoe has lawn signs that cost him
plenty. I decided that I would allocate the 700
to 1,000 dollar cost of lawn signs toward
payment of my school property tax bill which
should arrive in the mail shortly.

The lawn signs give some clue of about 120
voters who may vote for Igoe. That is 120 out
of 3,400 eligible Democratic primary voters
in Ward 14.

Ward 14 voter are smart and will vote the
way they want.

Mayor Jennings should take particular note
of the scarcity of Jennings, and other
candidate lawn signs, in Ward 14. Is this
a sign of anything?

I am a military veteran. Igoe is not.

I have a 22 year record of leadership
achievements as President of the
Buckingham Pond Crestwood
Neighborhood Association benefiting this
neigborhood, ward and adjacent 8th, 9th
10th and 15th Wards.

Igoe has an undistinguished 12 year record
on the Common Council which has not
resulted in much benefit to Ward 14
residents. Igoe is Chair of the Common Council
Codes Enforcement Committee, but has done
nothing to halt the intrusion of urban blight
and related crime into Ward 14.

The Park South Urban renewal project
slumlords who are moving into Winnie Street
and S Allen St.

With this has come a spike in crime.
Igoe is also on the Common
Council Public Safety Committee but
did not push for increased police presence
in Ward 14.

It took my candidacy , and issues platform to
spur an increased police presence in the ward
as well as spur improvements and care of the
pond park.

I advocate providing property tax relief and
improving education by consolidating city
schools with city government and having
ONE property tax roll, not two, to support
both; and returning to a K-8 neighborhood
school system. As Council Member, I will
sponsor and advance the requisite Home
Rules Request to the State Legislature
asking that state laws be so amended.
Igoe has no known position and not
exhibited any leadership in these matters.

Igoe, along with 13 other Common Council
Members voted for a Resolution that would
if adhered to by Albany police and public
service workers, make Albany a Sanctuary
City for illegal aliens. I vigorously opposed
this resolution and would never have voted
for it as a Member of the Council. Mayor
Jennings correctly chose not to direct the
police and public service workers to adhere
to the resolution.

I put America First, before narrow party
interest.

I staunchly support the U S Constitution
particulary the First and Second
Amendments.

Igoe? Who knows? Ask him.

My two blogs contain my record, my reasons
for being a candidate, my platform, and
clear position stands on a number of issues
vital to the futures of this ward, neighborhood
and city; and all who call these places home.

Igoe has no blogs, no real record, no platform
and no substantive positions on the issues
vital to our collective futures.

In sum, the September 15 Democratic
Primary offers Ward 14 Democrats, and all
the residents of the ward, regardless of party
affiliation, or not, a real choice.

It falls to the 3,400 Democrats of Ward 14
to make an informed choice September 15
as to who will represent them for the next
four years as their Member of Common Council.

I have endeavored, through my these
websites and my hand delivered message
to their doors, to provide them with the
grounds for making that informed choice.

All that remains, is for those 3,400 Democrats
to vote. Democratic Primary September 15
Noon to 9 pm.

I ask for your votes. Thank you.

Voters may also vote by absentee ballot.

August 21, is the last day for new voters
to register or change their address to be
eligible to vote in Ward 14.

Get some signs and stop complaining about Igoe's signs. You are a very smart and extremely capable fellow. Please don't make yourself look silly with your complaints about Igoe's signs. You are better than that. I wouldn't expect this out of Marlon Anderson, the fake mayoral candidate.

I just read what I wrote. And I am right. Don't complain about Igoe's signs; just get some of your own and put them on the same houses (get permission first) as are Igoe's signs. More than one person in a household and more than one candidate might be supported. I like you, but my girlfriend wants Igoe. So if she gets an Igoe sign and you don't have any, well.......
